Special product features
Most of our bodysuits have double fastenings for extendability. This way, each item can be used for longer.
Pants’ waist and pant leg length can be adjusted by folding. This way, each item can be used for longer.
Wrap-around style bodysuits make dressing easier, especially during the first months.
The non-wrap bodysuits have extendable neck-lines so the baby’s head fits through more comfortably.
Full-length zippers make it easy to dress and undress the baby – particularly convenient for nappy changes!
The two-way zipper on the pajama enables a hassle-free nappy-change during nights!
Foldable sleeves on sleepsacks and bodysuits help prevent scratching.
Footed pants, foldable sleeves and a soft cotton indoors hat help keep the baby warm when you wouldn’t think it’s needed.
Dressing in layers is great in the winter months when temperatures vary a lot between indoors and outdoors. It also helps to keep the baby warm enough better than a single warm layer. Particularly useful items for layering up are the balaclava, socks and mittens in two thicknesses, tights, the mid-layer overall and of course the outdoors overall and beanie.
The outdoors overall can be used as an overall or a thick sleepsack. This is enabled by fastenings along the inner leg seam and the bottom of the pant legs. The sack form is better for smaller babies and overall form better for bigger babies or when traveling in a car seat.
For all items we are using materials that are best-fit for purpose: above all they are always safe and durable, but also provide the baby with maximum comfort. With babies, it is important that materials in everyday use are easy-care from the washable bra pads to the rinsable feeding bib.
In addition, in clothing the baby’s comfort is crucial, so we use soft and stretchy, yet durable fabrics (cotton and elastane, and pure cotton with a biowash finish).
As the baby’s body temperature regulation is still developing, seasonal clothing needs to keep the baby nice and cool in the summer and warm and snug in the winter. Our summer wear is part tencel, which compared to plain cotton, is more absorbent and more effective at transferring moisture from the baby’s skin, making the clothing more pleasantly cool to wear.
In mid-seasons and winter, the baby needs help in keeping warm. For this, we provide a fleece overall and a wadded outdoor overall that is also lightly water-repellent. The wadding is either 80g for 32 to 57F cold winters or 200g thick for 32F to -4F cold winters. The baby’s head also needs protecting against the cold; our balaclava in breathable silk and wool protects the baby’s head and sensitive neck, and a thicker knitted hat (cotton or wool -based, depending on the climate) with a soft polyester lining.
